Manchester Gas Fitters Found

No comments June 25th, 2011

If you have never had the need for a gas fitter before, how on earth do you find a reputable one in Manchester ?

Well guess what I found a fantastic website that can do it for you . It’s called Big Builders Bum and low and behold they have recommenced gas fitters in Manchester listed on the site.

Its actually UK wide but works on a local basis too. All you do is go on there and post your job then the website, very cleverly, sends an alert to all the relevant tradesmen in your area. The concept is great; people who have employed a tradesman through the site go back and write an independent review on their work so they really are recommended!

Wait till I tell you why I need a gas fitter though. My husband decided that we needed to service the old gas boiler and to save time he thought, in all his wisdom, he would do it himself, him being an accountant it makes perfect sense, need I say more. I am just glad we still have a house as all of a sudden the smell of gas was so strong we all had to get out into the garden. Anyway we managed to shut the gas of and are now waiting on one of the professionals from Big Builders Bum to fix it. Which won’t be soon enough as at the moment we have no hot water.

I tell you its a smashing website, really easy to use and so quick to respond. Within an hour we were conversing with local tradesmen who I didn’t even know existed. The site mascot is really genius ! Billy Builder! He is a cartoon character of a builder showing his big builders bum, so funny.

It sounds like they are going to really feature this Billy Builder character having him in cartoon strips and competitions. These guys know what they are doing. Its the kind of site you just know is going to do really well.

Anyway I am looking forward to going back on the site and posting my review of the gas fitter we decide on to do the job. So refreshing to find a site like this, the UK will defiantly benefit from its openness; it’s constantly monitored and has a fabulous customer care department.

Their help centre is comprehensive but really easy to follow, not that I needed it the site is so simple to use and there are help tip for every step. I am looking forward to following this sites growth online, its been a godsend, so here is a Great big thank you to Big Builder Bum.

How I got my new Bathroom

No comments June 9th, 2011

Yesterday I decided to finally find a bathroom filler so I could get the upstairs loo finished once and for all. My daughter keeps telling me to “Google” things so I thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find a website called Big Builders Bum where there are a number of bathroom fitters in Newcastle.

What a refreshing website, so clean and easy to use, the premise of this site is that people who employ tradesman listed there then go back and write a review for other users to read. So in essence you get genuine independent reviews of the tradesman’s work.

Well, armed with a cup of strong coffee I decided to “post a job” on the site and to my delight I actually found the whole process fun, which is a first for me, usually anything I do over the internet stresses me out. This site however made everything so simple and secure it was a pleasure to be on there.

Now that I have posted my job the site will notify all the bathroom fitters in Newcastle who then send me quotes via the internal emailing system. I can then read the reviews on previous work done by the tradesmen on their profile pages. So I do not have to give my contact details out to every bathroom fitter in the area, I can just wait for notification from Big Builders Bum of quotes that come in and converse with them in my own time through a secure system.

Once I have chosen which tradesman I want to do the work I simply close the job on the site so I don’t get any further quotes in and then go back and write a review on the work for other people to see.

I think this is a fabulous idea for a website and this one is so open and honest. Its very well laid out and there is a help centre in case you get stuck on something. The logo is so funny too, I think most other sites could learn a thing or two from this one. It really installs confidence in its service but keeps a light hearted feel to the process.

Did I mention that its free to post a job on there. The only charge they have is a monthly membership fee of £10 to the tradesman. Which I think is very good, that has to be cheaper than advertising most anywhere else. I am so impressed with the site I even added it to my favourites!

Marbella Nightlife

No comments August 5th, 2010

From the time the sun sets until it comes up in the morning, Marbella comes to life with a thriving nightlife scene. In fact, nightlife in Marbella is so exciting, you might just find that you spend all night out and about.

To enjoy the nightlife in Marbella, start your evening with a good meal. This will give you the energy to party into the wee hours of the morning. The town has just about any type of cuisine you could imagine, form Thai and Lebanese to Moroccan and Italian. You can even get authentic Spanish food while traveling through Marbella. Choose your meal carefully, because you do not want what you eat to impact your ability to hit the clubs and bars.

The city’s nightlife begins on the Golden Mile, a stretch of road lined by bars, restaurants and street cafes. Here you can grab an exotic drink while watching people as they stroll through town or dine on a sidewalk café before hitting the clubs.

After you have explored the Golden Mile, head to Old Town. It offers wine cellars and taverns for the discerning traveler to explore throughout the night. This is an excellent spot to spend the evening sampling Spanish wines from all around the region, allowing you to successfully find the best vintage to take with you when you leave the city.

As far as clubs, you can find just about everything in Marbella. For those who love their music loud and fast, some of the region’s discos make the perfect party spot. To find a popular club with music all night long, head to a hotel in the region. Many of these have clubs to keep guests entertained. You can even find a Cuban style disco pub, an Irish par with a resident DJ, a flamenco club, and a live cabaret to keep you entertained through your nights in Marbella.

Before hitting a club, make sure you research the demographic. Some of the nightclubs in Marbella cater to the celebrity crowd. If you are not well dressed, you will not be allowed through the doors. To avoid wasted time and embarrassment, make sure the club you choose fits your level of dress and the type of entertainment you want. Other nighttime hot spots do not require a suit and tie, per se, but they do frown upon extremely casual clothing, such as shorts and a t-shirt.

If the club scene is not your entertainment of choice, you can find a casino, movie theater, and several bars in Marbella that ignore the dance floor and DJs, preferring instead to offer excellent drinks to a more quiet crowd.

As far as timing your excursion into the nightlife in Marbella, consider hitting the dance scene in the early morning hours. Some spots don’t even open until 11:30, and crowds really seem to get pumped up an hour or two after midnight. Consider arriving at your club of choice just before it gets busy to ensure that you can get in. be prepared to pay a cover charge at most spots.

Choosing Your Local Marbella Web Design Agency

A Web site is increasingly the first point of contact between your organization and it’s target consumers. Whether Web site visitors are searching for your products or services online or whether existing customers are visiting your site to find more information, your online presence is an powerful communication tool that can be used efficiently. In order for your site to achieve the desired results, it is essential to make the right choice when choosing a local Web design vendor. Fortunately, there are several web design companies in Marbella. The following guidelines will help you in narrowing down the range of options.

Know What You Want

In order to shop around for a Marbella Web Design Agency that will meet your needs, you’ll need to start by identifying what those needs might be.

  • Are you interested in launching a full-on ecommerce site?
  • Do you need a simple info site?
  • Are you looking for a simple revamp to update the look and feel of your site?
  • Do you intend to do a complete overhaul to your existing Web site along with integration of a content management system?

Take a look at what your competitors are doing and try to think one step beyond. Talk to as many people as possible and do your homework in terms of what works online for your particular industry.

Identify Your Constraints

The top two constraints that organizations face when planning a new or redesigned Web initiative are budget and time. Determine how much money your company is prepared to invest in this new Web initiative. Shop around and try to get an idea of how much different types of Web sites cost to set up. Keep that magic number in mind when speaking with potential vendors, but don’t be quick to throw it out there.

Consider how long you can afford wait to get your site up and running. Is there a certain event or season that warrants putting a rush on the initiative in order to boost sales? Do you need to use your online presence to promote a certain event? Setting an expectation for when your Web site will be ready will help weed out Marbella Web design agencies whose workloads or other challenges will prevent them from working with your schedule.

Find Marbella Web Design Candidates

Using the Internet or local business listings, put together a list of companies that perform the services you are looking for. Visit their Web sites to read about their services and see some samples of their work. Find a couple of vendors that strike your interest and make contact via email or telephone.

Narrow Down Your Search

Interview each Marbella agency thoroughly, asking questions about their years of experience, workload, exposure to your industry and more. Ask for references and actually call them. Ask each reference about their experience with the agency, their satisfaction with the end result, the level of customer service, etc. Assess candidate’s qualifications and compare them to find the best option. Don’t forget to trust your instinct and hire someone you can work with

Explore Spain’s Costa de La Luz Region

Explore Spain’s Costa de La Luz Region

For golfers who want to enjoy golf holidays, Spain is a popular destination, and one of the regions they often choose is Costa de La Luz. This area sits on the very west of Andalucia near the Portuguese border, and is quickly growing as a vacation destination for golfers on holiday. With beautiful resorts like the Montecastillo Resort, Hotel El Rompido Golf, and the Islantilla Golf Resort, it is no wonder that the crowds that typically flock to Costa del Sol are starting to migrate westward. These are the top choices for golfers who are visiting Costa de La Luz.

Islantilla Golf Resort Hotel

Islantilla is one of the most popular resorts in Costa de La Luz. This golf resort has three nine hole looks that can be combined however the golfer wants, either to play a short nine hole game or a full eighteen. The courses wind their way through trees and beautiful lakes, and a few sea views make it well worth the time spent playing. This course was home to the 1995 Turespana Masters. It is a four-star resort with just over 200 rooms and excellent leisure facilities for those who want to relax when not playing golf.

Montecastillo Resort

The Montecastillo Resort features a par 72 18-hole golf course that was designed by Jack Nicklaus. It was home to the Volvo Masters for five years before that tournament moved to Costa del Sol. Golfers who visit Montecastillo know they will be challenged. It is considered the best course in Costa del Luz, and is located near Jerez, giving guests plenty of non-golf activities to enjoy. The five-star hotel is small but elegant, and a wellness center provides much needed relaxation after a long day playing.

Hotel el Rompido

The Hotel el Rompido is a luxury resort that offers the best value in a five-star resort that can be found in Costa de La Luz. Golfers who enjoy some luxury in their accommodations love this hotel. It features two courses that were designed by Alvaro Arana. The scenery is beautiful, as the courses are surrounded by protected marshland, and the courses offer a pretty good challenge, without being too difficult for novice players.

Vincci Canela Golf

This resort is located in Cadiz and offers the Isla Canela golf course, an 18-hole par 72 course. The course is famous for its water features, which are found on 10 out of the 18 holes. The parkland course is 10 minutes from the hotel, which is a five-star hotel featuring just 56 rooms and 2 suites. Guests get excellent service from the hotel’s staff because of the small number of rooms. Another popular course near this resort is the Monte Rei Jack Nicklaus course just across the border in Portugal.

These are just four of the many golf resorts located in Costa de La Luz. If you are ready for a change from the busy golf courses on Costa del Sol, consider booking your next Spanish golf holiday in this newer destination. While the courses have been there a while, the area has just recently come to the attention of vacationers, making it a less crowded option for avid golfers.
